72-Bottle Timber Wine Rack | 8×8 Configuration

I had looked all over for a wine rack that was sized to fit the specific cubby in the armoire bar I was making. KingsBottle was the only company I could find that had the dimensions I needed. They offered a custom solution that solved my problem completely.

I got a temp/humidity controlled wine storage unit with fixed space so I wanted a solution that is compact and inexpensive. I am super happy to find the solution from Kings Bottle as the rack is easy to assemble and they have been holding really well with my heavy bottles. I'm lucky that the 6x6 configuration works just fine but I do believe they have the solution to customize it also.

Bought the Timber wine rack to fit in an alcove in my basement under the fireplace. The fit was perfect, and I have loaded it up with reds and whites that need to be cool but not necessarily kept in a wine fridge for long-term aging. I ordered mine unassembled, and I was careful when I did assemble it. This wine rack is best assembled on a hard surface like a basement floor. They provide an extra piece of wood (square dowel rod), which was beneficial, as one of the other ones in the kit was not cross cut at one end (necessary for assembly) -the extra piece made it a non-issue. The trickiest part is assembling the second set of metal strips (dowels already attached to metal strips at the bottom, and now the second set needs attaching). I appreciate that they sent two extra metal strips in case I made a mistake and bent one out of shape. Didn’t need it, because I went nice and slow, and I gently used the mallet to tap them in place, going over the structure in cycles to slowly tap them in place. Once assembled, the wine rack was slightly askew, but once I situated it and loaded it with wine, the weight of the bottles caused everything straightened out. The rack comes with plastic protectors that one can clip onto the metal strips, but I didn’t use these, as I have many Pinots, GSMs and Chardonnays that just exactly fit (but would cause the plastic pieces to pop off above). Don’t think I need them, but I have kept them for potential future use. All told, it took me a couple hours to assemble, and that is just fine by me. In the end I now have a nice, sturdy wine rack that I feel has little risk of ever tipping over. I bought it for the generous spacing and appreciate that it holds my wide-bottom bottles so well. I definitely recommend this wine rack, and I expect it to last for years without fail.

This is a piece of junk. Comes in a thousand pieces. Took all day to assemble because a rubber mallet does not work, need to use a real hammer to get the pieces together and this damages the wood. Then the company says if its damaged its not returnable. Once assembled hours later realized all the cross bars for one side are missing. No way could I take this thing apart to return. It looks good but it’s not stable. Will have to call company for missing pieces. I am a metalworker so to explain this item is easy to build just takes a really really long time and its hard on your hands in terms of repetitive hard hammering. Do not order if have arthritis like me! Cost should be $100 not close to $300! See second photo. In the back, you can see that there are only 2 vertical cross bars , 7 are missing and not in box. In photos, each line of bottles has separator bar front and back, but not enough bars were sent to complete it.

We purchased this timber wine racks for the cocktail cabinet we’re restoring at the time. It fits perfectly looks like it was already built in. Very steady and great quality. Can’t be happier with our purchase!

Purchased the individual layers to add to a unit that we had worked perfect with a little rearranging and it looks great

The wine racks I ordered were fine.... on their own!
If you only want one rack, it will be ok as you only get 4 pieces of dowl to secure it in place... but if you want to build a rack of modules.. you’re way short...
My last 4 -5 layers are just sitting on top of each other.

A good product but seriously let down by the most meagre of penny pinching I’ve ever witnessed.

I had a great experience with this order. I got a specific sized pre assemble under the counter wine rack. Ordering was easy, the product arrived timely and was as ordered. Their instructions for measuring were specific and easy. Fits perfectly. My only critique is with the plastic snap on bottle protectors. The occasional pop off. It’s not a problem to pop them back on, just wish they were affixed better. It also looks great. Exactly what I wanted.

After a lengthy search for a well-designed wine rack that would fit into a tricky spot in an existing bookcase, we stumbled upon the KingsBottle 6x6 42-bottle timber wine rack (black onyx). It’s the perfect solution! The rack requires a bit of time to assemble (20-30 minutes), but once done, it is stable, attractive, and space efficient. Each bottle is well-supported and easy to access. We’ve had many compliments since sliding the rack into that tricky space and we couldn’t be more pleased with it.

These were exactly the right size for my wine/pantry reorganization. Bonus: they look great and are durable as hell! I don’t know how I found KingsBottle, but so thankful I did.

I bought 2 of the unfinished 10x11 timber wine racks, unassembled. I am very pleased with their final appearance and use. I use them stacked with the rows of 11, and effectively 21 spots per column, due to my space requirements. The clips are excellent at keeping this stack together. I also have no issues with bottle sizes upto and including Champagne. The product descriptions and measurements are spot on.

As to the Assmebly of the rack, it was not difficult, but did require patience and working slowly to complete. After attaching the first number of timber slats to the metal cross braces, and getting comfortable with persuading the pieces together, it is surprisingly easy to complete the rack.

I did experience an issue with the shipment being short some pieces, customer service was easy to deal with and quickly resolved the issue.

I would buy this product again, and recommend it.

I like the quality of this wine rack. I was especially happy I could pay extra to have it assembled. That was a big plus in my book. It came without the plastic pieces to snap on each cubby but I called and they sent them to me quickly.

Exactly what we wanted

The wine rack is great! Being able to customize the size to fit in one of our large cabinets was ideal and something I couldn't find anywhere else. It is sturdy and fairly easy to put together. We get compliments on it all the time.
